As you well know, this is one of the great creations.

It takes a talented orchestra to perform The Ninth with the majesty required. Arizona Musicfest has that.

The Ninth is also the first example of a major composer using voices in a symphony. It demands a powerful and disciplined chorus. Arizona Musicfest has that, as well.

Beethoven himself conducted the Premiere performance. 187 years later, we are thrilled that our Maestro, our Orchestra, and our Chorus will use The Ninth to conclude the Orchestral Series of our 20th Festival.

The full dress rehearsal of Beethoven’s 9th – Ode to Joy! is open to the public! Beethoven’s intoxicating, monumental masterpiece with the breathtaking Ode to Joy is the utmost expression of humanity’s unity. Experience it live with the Festival Orchestra and Chorus and soloists Christina Major, Rita Litchfield, John McVeigh and Troy Cook conducted by the incomparable Robert Moody. Be part of the Musicfest magic on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at noon at Pinnacle Presbyterian Church, 25150 North Pima Road, Scottsdale 85255 (NW corner of Pima & Happy Valley Roads). Tickets are $10 available ONLY by phone at 480.488.0806 or with cash or check at the door. Students K-College attend for free. Online tickets are not available for dress rehearsal.
