Musicfest Quality Item #1… Our Festival Orchestra
Maestro Robert Moody describes his ensemble: “The Festival Orchestra is simply getting better and better with each concert. Next season, we’ll continue to showcase its talented musicians with an expanded orchestral repertoire and the debut of the Festival Chorus.”.
Musicfest Quality Item #2… These Kids Are Good!
“Tomorrow’s Stars Today” is a series within our Festival which brings the finest young talent from around the nation to our stages for you to enjoy. This Series, now in its 7th year, represents the pure magic of Musicfest. As we help these young stars on the launching pads of their careers, we feel especially lucky; especially gratified.
Musicfest Quality Item #3… The Story of Our Steinway
In order for our audiences to enjoy the artistry of sound that will reach with perfection into every far corner of a performance hall, we were very fortunate to have donors who made it possible for us to acquire a Steinway Concert Grand. We did so at the very beginning. Ours is serial number 434264-D, built by hand in New York over a 12 month process during the entire year of 1973. It is valued at nearly $100,000 – a priceless treasure, which our Musicfest patrons deserve – and another glorious example of the “Carnegie Hall quality” we bring to the community.
Musicfest Quality Item #4… Our Ticket Prices
Is pricing quality? We feel that, yes, it is, because the more value we can extend you, the more concerts you may attend.
And so we work especially hard, making the special requests to target sponsors and benefactors for underwriting. The fact is that about 66% of the cost of attending one of our concerts is free to you, the ticket buyer. We are truly grateful that we can keep the public cost of attending Musicfest Festivals low because of the warm generosity of our private patrons. As always, student tickets (K-12) are only $5 for any concert.
Musicfest Quality Item #5… Our Venues
One hallmark of Musicfest is that we are like Carnegie Hall… but in your own backyard. That is why we are so proud of our neighborhood venues. First Assembly Dream Center offers a wonderful stage and great sound. Pinnacle Presbyterian Church is an acoustical masterpiece. Grayhawk offers intimacy. And Desert Hills Presbyterian exemplifies excellence-in-listening.

From box office assistance, to performance previews, to free valet parking, to the gentle guidance of our ushers, your Musicfest Festival 2008 experience will be of the highest order.
