Our 17th Season
Four weeks of the finest music begins Wednesday evening, February 6, 2008 and ends 14 concerts later on Sunday afternoon, March 2.
Our Festival features Classical, Broadway, Jazz and Opera with exciting Guest Artists, The Arizona Opera, and the larger-than-ever, fuller-sounding Musicfest Festival Orchestra, and the debut of the Musicfest Festival Chorus. Many of our concerts showcase young musicians on the launching pad to fame in a series called Tomorrow’s Stars Today.
This season, we are pleased to offer Premium Seating. For a nominal surcharge, patrons can be seated in a reserved section in our large venues, Pinnacle Presbyterian Church and the Scottsdale First Assembly Dream Center. Only a limited number of these choice seats will be offered at each concert, so we urge you to order your tickets early to take advantage of this new opportunity.

This cabaret style concert featuring Bob Moody and some of his best and most talented musician friends is a fun and romantic way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with friends or that very special someone. Organist James Jones has been playing professionally since age 11 and was a featured performer at the 2006 Spoleto Festival. This unique concert takes full advantage of the magnificent, three-story organ at Pinnacle Presbyterian Church. Jones’ skills at the organ are complimented by soprano Carla Lefevre and Charles Berginc, Principal Trumpet of The Phoenix Symphony, and others. Together, these fine musicians will perform thrilling works that showcase the beauty and range of the organ, brass and singers.

This exciting opening night concert by the largest Festival Orchestra in Musicfest history includes the Southwest premiere of Dan Locklair’s “Phoenix for Orchestra” commissioned by Arizona Musicfest and the Winston-Salem Symphony. The program opens with Haydn’s “Symphonie concertante” and concludes with Saint Saens monumental “Organ Symphony” featuring soloist James Jones.
