The State of Arizona has a law (A.R.S. 43-1089) that allows a tax credit of $200 for individuals and $400 for married couples filing jointly, for donations paid to a public school to support certain programs. The tax credit reduces your tax liability by the amount you donate, and can be used to support the instrumental music program. CCUSD has established a special account: the CCUSD Instrumental Music Fund, specifically for tax-credit eligible donations to help purchase instruments, sheet music and other supplies. You can make a donation by completing a tax donation form (available at the Arizona Musicfest Office and the CCUSD District Office) and sending it to the District along with your check made out to the CCUSD Instrumental Music Fund. The District will send you the receipted form, together with a copy of your check, which you then use for filing purposes.
