When a child in our school district demonstrates a desire to experience the joy of learning to play an instrument, we applaud! We also applaud the Cave Creek Unified School District for expanding musical instrument instruction over the past several years.
For 2006-2007, we will continue to offer scholarships to any family in need so that they may rent the proper size and style of instrument for their child/children. At Arizona Musicfest, we believe no child should be prevented from gaining the joy that music can bring into his or her life.
And, thanks to a grant from the Creative Women of Pinnacle Peak, even more students will participate. The grant has also helped students, who wish to play a larger or more costly instrument, the opportunity to move up to that instrument without an increase in their family’s payments.
