Arizona Musicfest presents the premier Winter Music Festival in the Southwest.
Every year, from early February to mid-March, we bring “Carnegie Hall quality right to your back yard.”
We also present
- Youth Education initiatives, which bring classical music to thousands of students every school day.
- Signature Events, created to support the annual Festival and Youth Education by raising funds through volunteer sponsored musicales, galas, and artist receptions.
- Volunteer Opportunities through which you can join with scores of active, proud volunteers to deliver even greater musical joy and value to our community.
- A Worthy Cause for Your Support: you or your organization can donate resources to enhance the Musicfest offering to further enrich our community.
Arizona Musicfest is a local community-based organization, conceived 15 years ago to bring great music to our neighborhoods. We are citizen-volunteers who cherish our way of life here in the Foothills and are driven to enhance it.
We work to encourage music appreciation in our children and our neighbors’ children.
We are an annual 5-week Festival of great music in February and March. We support instrumental music instruction and classical music-listening in our local elementary schools. We present a Young Artists Concert each year. Likewise, we sponsor an annual Young Musicians Competition. We also offer the experience of The Phoenix Symphony and other examples of musical inspiration to our schools – docented by our citizen-volunteers. We bring the joys of great music to those who are unable to attend our events by means of Allegre, our newest community outreach program.
We are passionate about extending performance opportunities to the accomplished young musicians of the world. We take very seriously our commitment to “Tomorrow’s Stars Today”. We celebrate their greatness, and are privileged to provide them such appreciative audiences.
We hold firm to our core of quality Classical music, and are proud of our multi-faceted Festival and Musicale traditions of Broadway, Jazz, and myriad other expressions of musical excellence.
We believe we are improving our community by bringing “Carnegie Hall quality into our own backyards”. Not simply by hiring great “acts” from around the world to perform locally for us, but by building and nourishing our own Festival Orchestra — made up of dedicated men and women selected from our nation’s fine Symphonies; each member a true virtuoso of his or her instrument.
We care about our volunteers. We listen to them. And encourage them to add their own individual sparkle to the Musicfest ideal.
We care about our venues; always improving our partnership with them.
Most importantly, we care about our audiences. Their needs are our commands. We do what we do at Musicfest because, most definitely, we believe our community is better each day for the services we provide.
We are completely non-profit. Quite simply, we do this for the betterment of our neighbors.
